the PCI course, pass the Course Exam with a score of 70% or higher on each

related work experience on the SSPC Work Experience Form. See Note 2 above for examples of accepted work experience.
In addition to passing the PCI
course, the candidate must also possess 40 hours of SSPC or approved formal
coatings training as documented on the training history form. See Table 1 above for examples of approved additional training.

taking the PCI training course so long as the applicant possesses 80 hours of
formal industry training approved by SSPC, of which 40 hours must be formal
inspection training equivalent to the body of knowledge of the SSPC PCI
inspection course, as documented on the training history form. Job-specific
safety, health and environmental compliance training is excluded from the
approved training list. See Table 1 above for examples of acceptable
alternate training.
Candidates for Certification

Certification Exam unless they are eligible for an exemption**.
**Candidates applying for eligibility under Process “B”

PCI Certification Exam.
In addition to possessing 80 hrs
