The study guide provides a description of each module with summaries of key topic areas and learning outcomes. It includes a comprehensive glossary and an arithmetic review. Quizzes for each unit and quiz answer keys help students test themselves in advance of program attendance to determine what areas of study they should give extra emphasis.
The SSPC Protective Coatings Inspector (PCI) Training and Certification Study Guide is available for $50.00 for SSPC members and $80.00 for nonmembers. It can be purchased online through the SSPC Bookstore. After you place your order, a PDF copy of the study guide will be sent to you by email. The study guide is not available in hard copy.

What is PCI?
The Protective Coatings Inspector Program (PCI), is a new coatings Inspector Certification Program from SSPC. PCI is an intensive five-day course that delivers key information specific to coatings inspection. The streamlined schedule greatly reduces the time and expense required to become a coatings inspector.
Course Description
PCI is designed to thoroughly train individuals in the proper methods of inspecting surface preparation and installation of industrial and marine protective coatings and lining systems on an array of industrial structures and facilities. The course has a special focus on the inspection of coatings applied to steel surfaces.
